#382 - Small triangle dichroic glass pendant electroformed in copper
This small green and purple dichroic glass triangle pendant has been electroformed with copper and comes with a 30 inch copper chain that can be worn in a lariat style for aa even longer look.
The pendant measures 1 inch wide and 1.25 inch tall.
NOTE: there are 2 small chips in one side of the glass, this is from the cutting process. $10 discount has been applied to the price to compensate (reg $65 now $55).
I begin the process by layering multiple pieces of dichroic glass and melting it down into one large slab. I then cut the slab down into individual cabochons that I either melt further, cold-work or finish with the electroforming process.
The electroforming process can take anywhere from 12-48 hours, depending on the size and detail of the piece. Each piece is given a turquoise/brown/black patina, then carefully polished in certain areas to bring out the copper below. Finally each piece is sealed with wax or lacquer to preserve and protect the finish.
