One of my best sellers and a great gift for a co-worker, friend, mom or a fabulous hostess gift!
I save all the Bombay Gin bottles (a few friends help too!) I remove the labels, place in my kiln and super heat them. When good and hot and I'm in some safety gear, I pull them out of the kiln and pop them in a bucket of ice cold water. There's a lot of steam and fizzing - basically the glass micro-fractures and cracks and falls apart into chunks.
Once dry, I take these chunks and form them into small bowls, again super heating them in the kiln so they start to melt, but not go liquid. Then cool them down fully.
After all that is done I'm left with a cute little trinket bowl. This batch I've added a coating of silver mirror paint just to just that extra sparkle.
The bowls measure roughly 4 inches wide by 2 inches tall. Perfect for your rings at the end of the day, a small candle, your keys or maybe a soap.
They come in a clear plastic box, perfect for giving.
