I've saved many office windows from the landfill and I use them to create a variety of glass objects - giving the glass a second life!
The tempered glass gets smashed and remelted into these lovely little trinket bowls. I layer the broken glass in a bowl shaped mold, then heat the glass just enough to start the melting process - fusing the pieces together and removing any sharp edges. The slowly cool the glass down, ensuring proper annealing (strength) time.
After all that is done I'm left with a stunning display bowl - this one is 20 inches wide.
PLEASE ONLY PURCHASE THIS IF YOU LIVE IN/NEAR CALGARY. THESE MUST BE PICKED-UP. THEY DO NOT SHIP WELL DUE TO THEIR FRAGILE NATURE.
